Our Chosen Charities
The charities that our pupils have chosen to support this year are Young Minds and RSPCA. They are raising funds to send to the charities through their enterprise activities. The pupils would like to thank everyone who made donations for the raffle and tombola and helped them raise funds through their Christmas event
YoungMinds is the UK's leading charity committed to improving the emotional wellbeing and mental health of children and young people. You can find out more information from their website: http://www.youngminds.org.uk/
The Royal Society for the Protection of Cruelty to Animals is one of the oldest welfare charities, and the first to introduce a law to protect animals. They work to ensure that all animals can live a life free from pain and suffering. You can find more information at: https://www.rspca.org.uk/home
Other charities we support and who use our Delapre Centre for their meetings and events are:
Teenage Cancer Trust https://www.teenagecancertrust.org/ supports young people who have been diagnosed with cancer. The local support group meets at Delapre once a month.
Kids365 is a charity that provides support and activities for the siblings of children and young people who have been diagnosed with cancer.
Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust https://www.ellenmacarthurcancertrust.org/ provides sailing activities for young people who have undergone treatment for cancer to build their confidence and self esteem. They provide the bridge between treatment and a young person seizing the future they may never imagined possible.
