There is no uniform at HOE, or rules about jewellery and make up. However, we do ask that students dress in a modest and appropriate manner, as they would if they were going to work i.e. no short skirts or skimpy shorts, no belly or low tops, no visible underwear and no wearing of coats in lessons. If staff think that a student’s clothes are not considered appropriate for accessing learning, they may be asked to cover up or sent home to change.
Dress should not pose a health and safety risk. Items of clothing or jewellery that staff consider to present a risk to self or others should not be worn.
